Century Boat Company, Inc. introduces the newest member to the Century family, its 2900 Express, bring its total number of models in the Century line-up to 24 – the largest and most complete in the company’s 82-year history. The 2900 Express was designed for the “adventurous” boater or angler, and provides all of the necessities to exceed expectations of the serious angler, while providing the comforts and luxury for the entire family. For the angler, the 2900 Express features a portside tackle center with hanging tackle storage, five lure tubes and ample space for additional gear. A 30-gallon aft baitwell with clear lid and compression latch with fill, recirculating and aerated modes, paired with a 220-quart, easily accessible fishbox with overboard drain helps to keep lines in the water. Under the spacious fishing desk, Century has included two, 120-quart port and starboard fishboxes, complete with pumpouts, but also doubling as storage boxes. The 2900 Express features a lockable starboard three-rod storage box, three transom rod holders, four stainless steel gunwale rod holders and 12 hardtop rod holders. A deckside bait prep center featuring a freshwater sink, cutting board, and knife/pliers holder is an efficient use of space. Additional deckside comforts include a 15-gallon port insulated cooler and helm refrigerated drawer beneath the console seat. The helm makes full use of ergonomic styling to incorporate features like flush mounted electronics, trim tab switches, electric horn, compass, electric windshield vent, hydraulic tilt steering, A/C vent, stereo, MP3 player storage box and Yamaha Command Link gauges. Cruise in comfort with a Tracy helm seat with cushioned slide settings and flip-up bolster feature and footrest. Passengers can enjoy the comfort of lounge-style seating with A/C vent, cup holders, stereo speakers and plush cushions. The hardtop features an E-Box and spreader lights, as well as LED cockpit lighting. The air-conditioned cabin features a premium wood interior, stand-up head with freshwater shower, cabinets, sink and Vacu-flush, microwave, one-burner stove, two stainless steel sinks and stainless steel refrigerator. Corian (R) countertops, ample seating for guests and foredeck hatches with screens make entertaining a joy. The cabin sleeps three comfortably. “The 2900 Express has the fishing features that the hardcore angler will appreciate, plus a fully appointed luxury cabin that the whole family will enjoy,” says Dean Burnett, Vice President/General Manager of Century Boat Company, Inc. “The 2900 Express was designed to support Yamaha’s new F350, allowing Century to push the envelope in its big boat design. The 10’9” beam and overall length of 30’6” will handle just about anything you can throw at it,” says Burnett. Burnett added that the 2900 Express was designed for easy maintenance, including an easy to access and lighted machinery box under the deck. The boat features a 7kw generator, dual battery compartments capable of holding four batteries each, two, 30amp circuits, three, 110V outlets, port/starboard fuel fill access and a pressurized freshwater system with four outlets.
