![]() Bassmaster Weigh-in. Driving boats powered by V MAX(R) Series 2 outboards, the Yamaha anglers made an impressive showing for the first day. Cliff Pace placed fifth with a weight of 18 pounds 10 ounces, while Mike Iaconelli, Todd Faircloth and Alton Jones captured the eighth, ninth and tenth spots respectively. Todd Faircloth was the Purolator big bass leader of the day, bringing in the largest bass weighing six pounds two ounces. The world's best bass anglers are in Greenville this week for the 38th Bassmaster Classic. The event also marks Yamaha's return to BASS as the Official Outboard Sponsor of the 40-year old organization. The Bassmaster Classic will continue through February 24 and offers a $500,000 top prize money award. Take off is set for 7:15 a.m. each day at Lake Hartwell's Portman Marina. Doors open for weigh-in at 3:30 p.m. at Greenville's Bi-Lo Center. Admission is free. |
