Clint Parker Johnson, right, holds his trophy presented by Newell Cheathdam for winning the Texas State Championship Duck Calling Contest. Clint Parker Johnson of Ravenna won the Texas State Championship Sanctioned Duck Calling Contest held in Jewett on May 17. Johnson won $1000.00 cash and a stone trophy. First-time competitive caller Johnson topped Andy Barnett of Centerville by 5 points, and will represent Texas in the World’s Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Ark., in November.
