Blue-winged and Green-winged Teal fly in the trough of four foot waves in the surf near Port Aransas Sunday. The ducks used the waves as wind breaks as they maintained their northward migration. The arctic blast that blew through Texas over the weekend did not stop a major movement of waterfowl. Teal, northern shovelers and cormorants were observed flying in the 30+ mph winds.
